Virginia Woolf: Killing the Angel is a one woman play with music inspired by Virginia Woolf’s writings interwoven with rarely heard music from her era. Created by Lucy Stevens, a professional actor and classical singer, and pianist Elizabeth Marcus, the project explores Woolf's complex life, feminist ideals, and artistic challenges. By offering insights into Woolf's personal journey, it also celebrates women composers who shared her time, many of whose works have been lost or overlooked. This innovative project blends theater, music, and literary history to deepen Woolf's legacy.
